Thought I’d share my thoughts about the superb idents for FIVE USA created by Dixon/Baxi. I love the way each ident is so visually beautiful, sharp and rich but better still is the way this natural and bold approach serves to capture perfectly the essence of the FIVE USA brand. Bold, dynamic and electric content matched by fitting visuals. Kudos! You can view the video bits and piece here.

I’m a huge Engadget fan as are millions of others. Today they’re launching a brand new site – watch this space!

We’re updating Mr Ali Mearza’s website with video testimonials and other press materials. With something like laser eye surgery there is nothing quite like video testimonials from real people to help with trust and confidence in surgery.

I’ve never been a huge fan of the big name ‘hub’ sites such as Yahoo or MSN. Their remit has always been to clutter the screen with as much junk as possible – flash banner ads jump out at you, reams of gossip news items spoil the above the fold content and in general the experience is confusing at best.

Enter the new ‘Bing’ inspired MSN. It is quite incredible how simple the new layout is. In stripping the page bare Microsoft have won me over here (A rare occasion) with their easy to navigate and easy on the eye design.

The content is clear and immediate and navigating the new MSN is a joy. I’ve shown screen grabs of both the old and new versions below:
